WEIGHT/POWER LIFTING COMPETITION at AMITY UNIVERSITY GURGAON

Amity University Gurgaon, Haryana Campus “The Weight/ Power Lifting Competition” was organized in Persona Health Club on 4 February 2015 by Dean of Students Welfare for the hosteler. The competition consisted of the following events:-

(a) Bench Press
(b) Squat
(c) Dead lift

The following students were adjudged the winners and were awarded:-

(a) Bench Press

Rohit Mallik – BBA 3rd Year – First Place (135 Kg).
Himanshu – BBA LLB 2nd Year – Second Place (125 Kg).

(b) Squat

Himanshu – BBA LLB 2nd Year – First Place (130 Kg).
Harshvardhan – B. Tech Bio 3rd Year – Second Place (120 Kg).
Chirag – B. Tech ECE 3rd Year – Third Place (110 Kg).

(c) Dead lift

Himanshu – BBA LLB 2nd Year – First Place (190 Kg).
Harshvardhan – B. Tech Bio 3rd Year – Second Place (160 Kg).
Chirag – B. Tech ECE 3rd Year – Third Place (150 Kg).
Deepak – MCA 3rd Year – Third Place (150 Kg).

(d) Consolation prize was given to Abhimanu (Underweight category 61-70 Kg) – B. Tech 2nd Year (100 Kg in Bench Press).

The judges were:-

(b) Mr. Ramesh – Manager & Persona Gym Trainer.
